Reviews on a Nikon 60mm f/2.8D AF Micro-Nikkor Lens?
I want to shoot insects mostly but also some shots of flowers, coins, grass, etc. I can't really afford a more expensive lens… So my questions is will this work okay for this?
Do I have to add lighting(even if i'm inside) or will it work okay with out it? Does it auto focus?
I read the reviews on amazon just want some more input… Thank you

What's to review. It is a Nikkor flat-field macro lens, some of the best macro lenses made in the world since the original 55 mm f/3.5 Mirco-Nikkorr from the 1960's
What you may need to do is learn how to use a macro lens.
1) determine the image to subject ratio (1:1, 1:2, 1:3 or 1.4) and 2) then with the lens set to that ratio, move the camera toward or a way from the subject until it is in focus. 3) If you need more depth of field, stop the lens down and 4) use the depth of field preview button on the camera to study that actual depth of field.
So, yes, that 60 mm f/2.8 will do exactly what you want to do
60 is too short for bugs. None of the AF-D lenses will autofocus on a baby nikon. You may need additional lighting indoors.
