Which one picture is good? Nikon 3100 With Tamron 90mm Macro lens?

Number '1" is best, however, you need to turn the ring at the same angle you used in example number "2"

No. 1 is best. When shooting 'product' style shots it's better to have a 'clean' unfussy background. The ring should be better positioned though (as in shot no.2).
