New Macro Lens For My NIKON D5200?
I really love to shoot bugs and portraits… My budget is nt that heavy either. I don't think i could even imagine to afford a lens for more than 30k(even for this i guess i have to save for an year). I really don't care about the brand. I just need a good lens! I have my eyes one a few 85mm lenses from tokina and tamron. Please give me your suggestions
If you pick the Nikkor 60 mm f/2.8, you can use the same lens for shooting both bugs and portraits.
That lens is a medium telephoto lens on your camera, perfect for shooting portraits. The Nikkor 85 mm macro is a little long and is not quite as fast as the Nikkor 60 mm.
Tamron makes a 90 mm macro USD. It has the internal auto-focus motor you need for your entry level D5200 camera.
Tamron does not have an 85 mm lens listed in their current catalog and unless it has an internal auto-focus motor, you will not be able to auto-focus with it on your camera
Tokina makes one macro lens, the 100 mm f/2.8 macro and NO 85 mm lens at all.
Have you visited the Nikon, Tokina and Tamron websites to see what is available?
