Is this against school dress code?

So my mom is planning on buying me a Nikon camera as a late birthday present. She says she plans in getting it before this month is over. But there are some beautiful spots around campus. If I wore the camera around my neck (not taking pictures) is it against dress code or anything? What if I do take pictures? Is that against the rules? Just wondering so I don't get in trouble at the time <3

That should be fine, a dress code is more of inappropriate clothing choice. That would even be in the dress code: p pretty sure

Your dress code shall vary but in terms of the law (assuming you are in US/UK) then you may have some problems.

You are legally allowed to take pictures in a public place but as this doesn't fall under schools then you shall need permission (preferably written) from the owner of the school or the head teacher at least.
Equally you shall need permission from any subject you wish to take an image of.

In terms of dress code I'm guessing it wouldn't because it isn't part of your clothing but instead something like a rucksack.

I don't really think its wrong do have it around your neck, but just to make sure ask your teacher or someone in your school, you could could in trouble by taking pictures tho because in my school we can't take pictures during school time:/ but hey ask your teacher! Every school is different

Some people at my school who take photography sometimes walk around with cameras around their necks. I think you will be fine. You are not doing anything obscene.
