Is it true that No pro movie Direcor shooting his/her project with a DSLR?
I mean the main Camera.
you see so many so called Directors that shootinbg their "Film" with Dslr(Mostly 5D m3 or Nikon D810)
isn't it more "Pro" to shoot at least with a semi pro Camcorder? Something like Canon C300 or Sony PMW 300 or Panasonic Hpx series… I never saw a Big hollywood product shooting With a Dslr…
Not sure about movies, but

TV shows like House and Portlandia have used the Canon 5d III as the main camera. And I'm sure a few feature films have also.
I'm finishing work on a low budget feature shot with PMW 300, 5D III and GoPro. Big films have big budgets and often use ARRI Alexa and Red Epic.
Story telling is the goal and the crew will use any camera to make that happen - budget permitting.
The few television productions shot with digital SLR cameras have been more of a "proof of concept", than a real practical use of that type camera.
As mentioned one show of House was shot using a Canon 5D, Mark II and the last season of "Dexter" was shot using a Nikon D4. Here and there a digital SLR is used when a full size camera can't fit where it needs to be for a specific shot, but in general, the ARRI ALEXA, one of the RedOne's or a Sony CineAlta are the choices IF the project is being shot using video. The first choice is still either a 35 mm ARRI or Panavision camera
