Well, title basically says all.
I recently upgraded my laptop to Windows 8, but no it won't read my camera's memory card. I just got back from a trip so it's a big disappointment on my part. My memory card is a Kingston SD4 8GB that came with my Nikon camera.
I already made sure it's not on Lock. When I put it in it doesn't read anything at all.

Added (1). I have a Dell Inspiron M5030, and I already tried visiting the website. I put in my service tag, but Windows 8 32bit isn't available in the BIOS List (Only options are Windows 7 32bit/64bit).

Load the Win8 driver for that card reader unit.

Most likely I think what happen is that Windows does not have the correct driver and it can't read it.
Try your memory card on another computer and see what happens.

If it's just your computer then it could be a hardware issue on your end. Try other memory cards

Does windows read it?
if it does Then yours is just scrweded up somehow

Did you install the correct driver for it. Go to the manufactures web site for your computer, look up your model and find the card reader driver and install it. It is important note that when you install any operating system it only installs GENERIC basic drivers to get you going. It will not install all the correct drivers from the manufactures web site to make sure.

Good Luck
