I'm looking for an entry level DSLR. Most likely Nikon, to shoot concerts with? - 1
I have a budget of around 1000 US Dollars. I was considering the D5200, but i'd have to wait to buy a good prime lense. Should I go with another DSLR? I'm looking for great image quality and low ISOs, any recommendations?

This type of venue. Obviously a lot closer or on it. I tend to think that the lense is what produces a better image. A Sigma 1.4 seems to do the trick, but I was wondering which body would go great with it.
The Nikon D3100 is a decent camera, and they are around $400
Can you give us examples of the sort of groups and venues you are likely to be at?
Okay, so I DON'T think that shooting concerts is a great way to learn to use a DSLR, there's so much that you need to right first!
If you are looking at Nikon, I'd tend to think that the D5200 is probably as low in the range as you should be going, but you would need to match it up with a decent f/2.8 standard-ish zoom. If you look at Canon then the T3i is your best best - actually performing better in low light than the T4i and T5i!
There are a few guys on here that can help you further, so just think on for now, and don't be afraid to ask more questions
