How to sell my SLR camera?

I currently own a Canon t1i dslr but i would like to sell it and buy a Nikon model. I regret not have done much research before I purchased it, and I have realized that I do like the Nikon models much more. I just have no idea how to sell my camera. I'm not experienced with the process, and I don't know what to do. Any help?

Ebay might be a good idea but in anycase used camera are not going for a good price. Might be a good idea to keep it.
otherwise may be the shop has a trade in possibility.
If i was you I will keep my camera anyway.

happy new year

The last thing you want to do is go to a pawn shop, they'll act like they really don't want to buy any cameras and they're supposedly doing a huge favor taking it off your hand in exchange for a few pennies for it. I have a friend who pawned a barely used Rebel XS for $10. Wanna guess how much the pawn shop sold it for?

So the first thing you want to do is mention it on Facebook: you might have a friend who wants to get rid of a Nikon in favor of a Canon. Or you might have a friend willing to give you a lot more money than some pawn shop would. If that doesn't work, post an ad on Craigslist.

I would post an ad on craigslist. Mention in the title that you want to trade your canon for nikon. I see ads like that on craigslist all the time. It's the best way to get a good value for your used equipment.

It looks like it is still worth about $400-$500 with the lens.

Search craigslist, ebay, amazon to find a realistic price. I sold mine on craiglist (bring a money marker to make sure the cash is real). Other places charge a listing fee
