Nikon SLR Cameras

Good cameras around 350$?

Preferably a Canon or Nikon, and not Fujifilm, Kodak, or Panasonic.etc (Apparently they are not as good, according to a employee and my step mom, who won't even let me think about Fujifilms.)

It needs a good zoom, perhaps a macro mode, and good image quality.

Yeah i don't recommend fujifilms either.picture quality isn't good at least not of people (my prior experience). Kodak isn't bad though. I recommend kodak m1033 but it doesn't have too much zoom just like 3x optical zoom. But it makes FANTASTIC videos upto 720p n the image quality is just superb especially with 5 modes of white balance. Its 10 mp i believe you can look it up.

I would recommend the Canon SX230.It costs about $330, has 14x optical zoom, records video in 1080p, has good image quality, and manual controls. On top of that, it's pretty compact so you can slip it into a pocket without any problems.
