Good camera that has video autofocus?
Something cheap like $400 to $600.
-I don't want a camcorder, i want those big professional cameras
-video autofocus
-canon or nikon?
The auto-focus on dSLR's when shooting video is rather slow.
Even if you spend the necessary $700 for a Nikon D3200 or Canon T5i/700D, you still need to buy additional accessories to make any of these still cameras into a viable video camera

As you can see, the camera is just the tip of the iceberg.
If you really want a professional camera, you are looking at a much larger expense.
Nikon D4 costs about $6, 000
Canon 1D X costs about $6, 800
What that means is you will not be getting a professional camera with your budget of $400 to $600.
How much independent research have you actually done?
Spend some time on DP Review reading the professional camera reviews of the entry level dSLR cameras and you should find one you can start using if you are really dead set against using a real video camera
The fact is you don't want video auto focus… It's useless and a gimmick. You're much better off learning how to manually focus a video camera. I've been doing it for years, you can learn.
All of the Sony SLT series of cameras - A58, A65, A77 - allow for full-time, continuous phase-detect auto focus when shooting still images or video.

Those big cameras are dSLR's and they were never meant to do video. If you want to do it the pro way, use the right tool for the job. For video that's a digital camcorder. Even the cheap ones have autofocus and record much longer even.
