What canon camera compares to the nikon d700?

Like which Canon camera is pretty much the same as the nikon d700.
& which is better? Nikon or canon.

Canon 5D Mark II is Canon's equivalent. As to which is better, it really depends on the individual you ask. There are a lot of things I prefer about the Nikon D700 with respect to its control layout, autofocus, speed, etc. Conversely, I currently shoot a 5D Mark II specifically because I like the higher resolution that gives me more freedom to crop my images. Image quality between the two outside a lab is the same DXO will say different but, take a look at the White House Photographers' Flickr page and tell me you see inferior image quality…
