Nikon D2h is good for macro photography?
Nikon D2h is good for macro photography?
No, but a good macro lens is.
.
The dam camera means squat!
No, not particularly. It's an older camera (2003) and was originally designed as a sports/press camera, and only has 4 megapixels, but with a very respectable continuous framerate of 8 frames per second. This should be enough for casual pics and newspaper photos which are printed at a relatively low 140 dpi pixel density. In other words, it sacrificed image quality in favour of speed. The D2x, which came out in 2004, combined both speed and quality at 12 megapixels but at a much higher cost.
Successful macro photography relies on pin-sharp enlargements of very small objects, and usually requires a higher pixel count, a good lighting setup, and a dedicated macro lens to capture all the detail. Of course, you could use a D2h for macro shots, but it would be like driving an SUV in a Formula 1 race.
1) know what you are doing…
but sounds like you aren't very knowledgeable…
2) what lens are you going to use?
a macro lens or a standard lens with a bellows…
3) stick with "close-ups" until you learn about true macro photography…
