If you wish to shoot video, then what you want is a camcorder, not a still camera.

Indeed it is best to shoot video on a camera specifically designed to shoot video, and that is a camcorder.
If you must use a DSLR to shoot video, then the D800E is as good as most other DSLRs.
Well, if it is all you have, I guess you don't have much choice do you? If VIDEO is what is important to you, sell the D800 and get a real camcorder.
