Does the Nikon D700 have a shutter silencer?

I know the D300s does, but does the D700?

I'm trying to think of a time where that would be important, maybe if you were doing covert surveillance or shooting during a theatrical performance.

My models use the sound of my cameras shutter going off as their cue to move to the next pose and certainly shooting sports of any kind is not one of those times

I don't know but DON'T GET A NIKON! They break so easy and are not repairable!

No it does not. And even onthe D300 it's not spectacualr. Sooner or later somethingneeds to move in that camera and that makes noise.
