Would like to know what Flash trigger to get?

I own a nikon Sb-900 flash and the Nikon D7000 body. I was wondering what sort of flash triggers you would recommend.

You do know that you don't need a trigger to use those together wirelessly? OK, good, just checking.

There are cheap Chinese triggers that will do just fine, expensive triggers with huge range but still just like the Chinese triggers, and stupid expensive triggers that will give you radio controlled iTTL flash control.

If you need iTTL flash, then you are going to use either the D7000 built in flash control, or pay for the TTL trigger set from Pocket Wizard.

If you don't need TTL flash, you can use any of the $20-$30 Chinese trigger sets, provided you don't need more than about 100 foot range. If you need 1, 500 foot range, you need Pocket Wizards.

I use the Chinese stuff, 1 trigger and 3 receivers. Works fine so far (2 years or so) at a range up to about 75 feet. Never needed to go any further than that, and that was just a test.
