Why won't my camera record
I own a Nikon D3100.It used to be fine at recording and would record video for a number of minutes. I have an SDHC Class 10 card in it and it is no where near full. My son started walking today and I NEED to tape it so my husband can see but the camera will only record for about 6 seconds and then says "video recording interrupted".
Two possibilities as I see it. Have you formatted the card in the camera? Do that. Failing that I'd have to say the card has gone bad so replace it… But, be sure to format it in the camera first.
Copy all the image and video files from your memory card and once they are safely on your computer, format the card using the format feature on your camera.
This should help. If you did not format the card when you first got it, this could be the source of the problem
