Which tripod would be best for a Nikon D3000 camera?
I enjoy looking at stars at night and I would like to start taking pictures of them but I would need a tripod which I don't have, does anyone have any ideas which tripod would be best for me.It'll be best of the cost is under £80. Also I would like to know if there are other lenses I could buy for my camera? If so which ones and such.
Look for one that can hold at least 3-kg. Since you will be shooting stars, you will eventually be buying a longer lens and the tripod must be stable with a 2.5-kg lens and camera mounted on it.
You may be able to find a good Manfrotto tripod with 3-way head that falls within your budget of £80. If the one you really want costs a little more, it will be will worth it to save the extra pennies you will need to buy it.
Manfrotto 190 is perfect. You can get good deals with heads included, for around £80+ on Ebay (new).
The best tripod would cost more than your camera. Tripods are universal, look for a sturdy manfrotto or velbon for example, between 50 and 80 you can find something decent.
Lenses… Anything made by nikon with the designation AF-S, anything made by sigma for the Nikon mount with HSM in the name.
