I just want to buy a Entry level DSLR camera.
As per the www.toptenreview.com Nikon D5100 is placed at #2.
in India it cost about Rs. 31500/-
But i want to know that, in which country it cost very cheap.
Please assist me to buy this.
The used market place is the only place you can expect "cheap". $500.00 dollars (USA) is the cheapest you will find a DSLR. But how about the lenses you will need to do other things like a macro lens for my camera costs $400.00 for a short lens and $850.00 for a longer (100mm) lens, where is that money coming from? DSLR cameras are wonderful as all the pro's on this site will sing the praises of, BUT DSLR cameras are money pits also, need to photograph another type subject, most likely you will need another lens. Another lens means more money! So you must decide if this is the way you want to go. Remember you can get excellent 11x14 size prints with a quality "bridge" camera for about $400.00 NEW and with a one year guarantee (except dropping so keep that neck strap around your neck). Bridge cameras have one zoom lens capable of magnification that you could not afford in a DSLR and also a macro lens all in one lens!
If you want an entry level camera, get the Nikon 3100D, it's only Rs24000.It's also a very good camera.

Buy Nikon at a reputable dealer nearest you. Nikon is very particular about dealership boundaries to a point that a Nikon bought from one dealer will not be accepted for warranty and service at another dealer's area of responsibility. Sure there's international warranty and servicing but this would mean you would have to pay to ship your camera to an off-shore center and wait months for it to return.
Then again, the cheapest is not always good. There's a price for peace of mind. If it's too good to be true, it isn't. Stay away from it.
