What lenses to choose as alternative for my Nikon D90?

I'm currently using Tamron AF 28-200mm F/3.8-5.6 LD Aspherical [IF] (Model 571D) which was originally used for my film SLR Nikon F65. With D90, it takes a lot of time to tune in and it always hard to get a good shot from the first shot.
Now I saved a bit to buy a lense, I've got an option to choose from below models
1.AF 18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 XR Di II LD Aspherical [IF] MACRO (Model A14N II) (for Nikon)
2.AF Zoom Nikkor 70-300mm F4-5.6G
3.AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR

I usually take family, kids, travel and nature photography.
Please give a serious advice as I want to buy one lense based on anwers given here.

Thank you!

Added (1). Thank you for your valuable advices. I'll take them into account.
Alternatively, how about AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G IF-ED. The only thing I worry about is focus, which higher than my current AF 28-200mm.

What exactly do you find wrong with the first shot? Without knowing this it's quite difficult to give you good advice. Do you have focusing problems? Blur from camera shake? Generally poor image quality? I'd expect all these of that lens.

None of the lenses that you listed is really good, #3 is acceptable and the others are rather poor/mediocre.
They are totally different lenses in terms of their focal ranges… Are you aware of this?

Edit:
The 55-200VR is an ok telephoto lens (the VR is important! Don't get the cheaper version without VR).
What do you mean by focus? The focal length range of 55-200mm? Focus is a different term.
Yes, it will be less versatile due to the longer starting focal length at the 55mm end than your current lens, but it'll suffer much less from camera shake in situations in which you can't keep the shutter speed fast enough to keep a steady shot with your current lens.

But still, it would help a lot to know what exactly your problem with the current lens is, ideally with a sample shot that exhibits it.
