What Kind Of Butterfly is This?

Alright so the other day i was out about with my fancy nikon d3000 lol well anyways i spotted what appeared to be a monarch butterfly i barely got the shot not a second to spare before it flew off. Later after i reviewed my photographs i found the picture upon closer examination i found that the butterfly does not appear to be a monarch. Monarchs are in the family Danaidae. Your butterfly is in the family Nymphalidae. It's a fritillary in the genus Speyeria.
