What is the proper vertical grip/battery pack for a Nikon D70s?

Nikon has never made a grip for the d70. Some 3rd party manufacturers have, check ebay for those

The proper grip/battery pack for a Nikon D70s is the Nikon D70 grip/battery pack. There are other grip/battery packs from other brands that may be compatible to the Nikon D70 grip/battery pack but just make sure it was built for the D70s specifically. Some grip/battery packs may not have the extra shutter button but I'm not even sure if the original Nikon grip/battery pack has it. The safest to buy that is 100% compatible with your D70s is the grip/battery pack from Nikon itself.
