What camera for photography?

For a beginner photographer. Canon 1100D? Or Nikon D3100?

NIKON D3100 Digital SLR is the best camera for you. It's what i used from college and upwards its a great little device and its so light i don't need a huge carry camera bag or anything its perfect!

It's a toss up. The only drawback for an entry level DLSR/family camera with the D3100 is the fact that there's no auto focus motor in the body. That will limit you on a few lenses and it will cost you a little bit more to get the lenses which do have a motor in them.
All of canon's have the motor in the body.
The T2i and the T3 are basically the same camera, but the T2i has better video on it. Same sensor. I'd consider that over the T3 if you are going to use the video on your camera.
