What 50mm lens do i need with my Nikon D3200?
Added (1). I'm a very new to photography and I'm teaching myself through it all. I'm looking into buying a 50mm lens for portraits mostly of children and whatnot. I don't want to spend gobs of money on it. But I was wondering which one would work best with my D3200. I have been reading that a lot of the lenses won't AF with my camera type. So I want to know which ones will? I def want the AF. And not sure of the difference between the 1.8D and the 1.8G. Any help would be great!
The one with the autofocus in the lens is the AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G
The other one will work, but you'd need to use manual focus.
The AF version will not auto focus on your body, the AF-S version will.
The G lens has no aperture ring on the lens so aperture can only be controlled via the camera body - again not a problem for you.
The AF-S version.
- Nikkor 50mm AF-S 50mm f/1.4G or AF 50mm f/1.8G?
- Will my Nikon 50mm 1:1.8 lens from my old film SLR work on my Nikon D3200 DSLR?
- Can I use a Nikon 50mm 1.8D lens on a Nikon D3200?
- Are 50mm lens of any company like nikon, canon or sony same in performance? Or nikon's 50mm are better?
- I just bought a 50mm 1.2 lens and its a Ai lens. I have been told it will need to be modified to work on my camera
