Canon 60d, or the Nikon d7000?
I have to admit I like the handeling more on the Nikon, but the 60d has a rotating screen and is a lot beefier to hold than the D7000, which is good for me because I have big hands. Not to mention the 60d has a 18mp sensor, although I find it's buttons and settings more dificult to manipulate than the D7000.So which one would you prefer and why? PS: I don't really care about video capability because I'm using it as a photography camera, not a video camera.
Added (1). @Just Another Writer I'm pretty sure the d7000 is more than an entry level, hell, for 1500 dollars it should be, plus it isn't the settings that confuse me it's the way they set up the buttons, they have that dumb wheel thing around the button pad and to change modes, you need to press down on a release switch.
Get the canon 60d instead. I have a canon 60d and my friend has a nikond7000 and we compared them thr canon by far was better than the nikon in fact my friend is going to buy the canon right after his nikion breaks
D7000 had features way more in common with the canon 7d, not the 60d for a lot less money than the 7d
I like the Nikon better. I like the placement of controls better, the way the menus are, the two card slots, and the way it feels in my hands better.
The reviewers at Cnet point out that the video on the D7000 is not as good as the video on the 60D(link #6 written below the video), yet the D7000 was given the Editors Cohice (Link #4 to the right of the video's title). Since you don't care about video this should give you leanings twards the D7000.
There are good reviews on both cameras at DPreview.

I don't believe that the difference in mp will be a significant advantage in real life. It wouldn't matter to me at least as I don't do much cropping and I don't print many 20"X30" photographs. I have printed two 20"X30" photograph that look OK from a D40(6.1mp). They came out of camera perfectly exposed, not needing to be cropped, and sharp.
Edit in response to the comment above this one.
The D7000 is not an entry level camera. The D3100 is. The D5100 is kind of between an entry and mid level camera and is sometimes called upper entry level camera. The D7000 is a mid level camera. They all can produce excellent images in the right hands. Canon also has a line of excellent cameras although I wouldn't recommend the Rebel T3 (yes the T3, The T3i is a great camera that I would recommend). This is kind of similar to a Ford vs Chevy thing. The important thing is what camera is best for you.
You also mentioned your hands are big. You could consider a battery grip for either of the cameras you are thinking about and you may find that it helps.
