Speed light for Church photography?

I have a Nikon D80 and need to take photos for the church's Christmas program. What is the best speed light/external flash to use? Thanks!

Added (1).… I'm the hired photographer and I usually use natural light so this is different for me, I do have permission to use a flash and this is a one time thing so I'd probably rent a flash/lens combo.

I'd go with the SB-700.

I just use one that i got of amazon for £40, it does not have a radio receiver but can be set off with the on board camera flash or by the hot shoe. You can also get a receiver and transmitter set of amazon for £30 which will go on your cameras hot shoe and the flash's hot shoe

Before you show up at the church with a $350 flash unit, make sure you can use flash in the sanctuary.

Many churches do NOT allow flash within the building.
