Shutter button/release on Nikon D40 seems loose?
The shutter button/release [whatever the technical term for it] seems a little bit loose. If I gently move it in a circle, it will move around. It still takes photos and everything but I'm worried that it'll become an issue. I got a 3 year warranty from Target where I got it from but they discontinued the camera. If it does become an issue, is there a way to replace the shutter button? I seem to be having nothing but problems with my camera lately and it's really stressful lol.
Added (1). Yes, it just started to do that recently.
Darn asians forget to tighten it
Well if Target won't stand behind the 3 year warranty, I would raise a big stink! Was the extended warranty free? Probably not. So create a fuss if you have to!
Don't let them tell you the camera is supposed to be that way. Tell them a "white lie" if you have. "your friends Nikon D40 does not have a loose collar around the shutter button!
It seems normal to me. My D80 does the same thing (from what I remember). Was your shutter button always "loose"? Or did it just become loose recently?
