Settings for flipping hair on Nikon D3000?

I have a Nikon D3000 and Want to know how to get a shot of someone flipping their hair while their hair is moving (not blurred). What settings should I use, and what should I do the Shutter speed on advanced settings? I want to use natural light with no flash.

Shutter priority mode and try a shutter speed of about 1/500. If it's too slow bump it to 1/1000.
You are going to need a lot of good light to take that shot in. Might have to bump your ISO up too.

The faster shutter speed, the better. Just make sure you have a reasonable aperture so you can get more of the image in focus. And by reasonable, I mean a higher number (like 5.0 or above). Just keep in mind the higher your aperture, the darker your image is going to be. Same with a higher shutter speed.
The best way to go about using two higher numbers is to make sure you have a good amount of light that you are photographing in. You can always increase your ISO to get a bit more light as well.
