Recommended FREE photography courses?
Please help me! I'm looking for a FREE online course so that i can improve my photography skills. I would really appreciate it if you could give me some great courses. Even photography websites and tips would be great too. My camera is a Nikon D3100.
'You Tube' has a few tutorials that might be helpful…
I'd recommend a photography exercise book that takes you through different topics and subjects and explains how to get interesting results… Camera clubs and photography groups are worth joining you'll find more experienced photographers there and you'll be able to tap into their experience…
Actually enrolling in a course at your local college is worthwhile… I think it's better sometimes to be around other people it gives you the added benefit of being able to bounce your thoughts and ideas of other students and tutors are another great source of experience… In the UK, depending on your circumstances you might find that you wouldn't be expected to pay for your course or you might be entitled to have the fee subsidised.
I love Digital Photography School and look forward to their newsletter every week. They have a weekly photography challenge. This can give you something to focus on that you may not have otherwise thought about. They also always have lots of informative articles.
Cambridge In Color is another good photography site that has some real good articles and tutorials explaining the basics and fundamentals.
There are a lot of good vudeos on YouTube. Jared Polin a.k.a FroKnowsPhotos is one I like a lot. B&H is another good one. Just search whatever you want to research and you will get many videos.
You may have to make up your own kind of course for free. Just pick something in particular you want to study or get better at and then start researching everything you find and practice that subject.
