Professional cameras for photography?

Right now, I have a nikon d3000, but I want a better camera,
my mom is getting it for me, so the price doesn't matter.
I really love my camera, but I want something better [:
Any ideas?

Nikon D3x. Since Mommy is paying, I'm sure she won't mind dropping $7500 on one. Lens extra.

Unless you have a reason (faster burst rate, higher ISOs, etc.), a new body won't do much to improve your work. A better quality lens or two might as might some training or photography books. Don't get caught in the "I'll take better photos if I have better equipment." Better equipment can make some things easier to do but it's you, the photographer, who creates the photograph. The box merely records your image.

Define better? You will see a better improvement in images with a better lens or a training book or DVD on the subject.doubt a better camera will really be the answer to whatever problem you are having.
the D3X is a great camera along with the D3S but they are just tools and a better camera is not going to make your photos better automagically.

A nikon d3000 is good! Instead, invest in better, or different lenses. Get a telephoto lens, a macro lens, a wide angle lens etc. Or a tripod, or external flash, or ask for her to pay for some photography classes!

You'd do better to invest some money in a second lens, an external flash, and a tripod.

What do you mean by 'better', if you need bracketing so you can try HDR, if you need to shoot movies they are valid reasons to upgrade, but the quality of image they take will be pretty much the same as your D3000.
Learn to use the one you have, any deficiencies will soon become apparent to you.
If you want to upgrade anything, upgrade the lenses, a 'nifty fifty' a 50mm f1.4 will improve image quality and enable 'selective focus' shots (where the subject is sharp, but the background is blurred), may be a Macro or telephoto lens, maybe some flash gear, or studio lights, any of these will increase the possibilities of your camera.

Why not just get the top of the line nikon camera?

If the D3000 isn't good enough for you to produce shots like these, then it has to do with your lack of skill rather than lack of quality of the D3000:
Buying a new camera will not improve your photos; but improving your skills as a photographer and learning more about composition, lighting, color, etc. Most definitely will.
If you still insist on a new camera, consider getting a Nikon D90 or D7000.

The d3000 is a great starter camera. I'd invest in better lenses or a shoe mount flash instead. The D3000 isn't even a year old yet… I highly doubt you need to invest in a better camera.
Instead, choose a lens or a flash… This depends on what you like to photograph.
For portraits, get a flash (http://www.henrys.ca/1190-NIKON-SB-600-SPEEDLIGHT-IRAF-FLASH.aspx), and maybe a bnifty-fifty (50mm f1.8… 140$Can).
For sports or wildlife get yourself a decent telephoto. Here, prices vary alot and the lens I would recommend is 2500$ so yeah.
If you want get yourself a good all around lens to replace your kit lens… I. Recommend a 24-70 f2.8 (around 1500$Can)

If you're asking this question that means you're not read for a pro camera.
1) You should know that it's the photographers skill that makes or breaks the image
2) The lens is far more important than the camera.
If you got two D3x with 24-70mm f2.8 VR and 70-200mm f2.8 VR it won't instantly make you pro.
