Photography in the redwoods?

I will be taking pictures at a wedding in late may in the redwoods and have found it a bit tricky getting good shots since it can be quite dark under the heavy tree canopy.normally i would just use a tripod and lower shutter speed but ill be taking pictures of people, moving and whatnot.so… Any tips or advice is definitely welcome. If it helps, i have a nikon d3000 digital slr with a reg lens and a 200 mm one.

Try a mix of on camera and off camera flashes. Practice before hand.

You'll most likely need flash. I've tried taking pictures under redwoods (during the day) without flash and it's still too dark. If you increase the iso it may or may not be fast enough.
Use flash. And make sure you have a spare battery or two (as flash eats up battery power).
