I have a Nikon D3100… What lens should i purchase for this special day?

Added (1). I was hired with the facts being known that i have NEVER shot a wedding before… Bride and groom were basically going to buy disposable cameras and have the guests take the photos.her cousin talked her out of it but they didn't have money in their budget for a photographer. I have the kit lens and a 55mm-300mm lens. So don't "pity the fool"… I'm just helping out so they don't end up with photos of the ground, ceiling, door, etc. This should be a lesson.don't judge someone before you know the facts. In fact, you didn't need to know the facts to answer a question about a lens.

Most weddings are shot using a telephoto zoom lens and also a wide angle lens.

You need two cameras, and good focal length coverage from 16-200mm.

In the case of you camera, that means 10-130mm.

I pity the fool who hired you to shoot their wedding if you don't even know what equipment you need. Yikes!
