On the body of my dslr, there's a strange sign. What does it mean?

To be more specific, I have a Nikon D70s. And on the right top corner of the camera (Next to the top screen) there's a sign of a circle and a line crossing it. It is not painted, it is a part of the camera. Does anyone know what that means? I'm just curious.

It could be the picture for the "Timer" setting.

On a film camera that was the film plane mark, so I would assume on digital it is the sensor plane mark.
