Nikon d7000 shutter sound?

This might sound weird but i like the sound of a shutter and heard that the nikon d7000's sound has been dampened a bit. Is this true? And for anyone that owns this camera, does the shutter still sound good?

My models count on hearing that sound of the mirror flopping up and the shutter cycling so they know when to move to their next pose.

What do you mean by the shutter "sounding" good? A shutter is a shutter and depending upon the design of each camera, they all sound a little different

Nah, Fhotoace, the shutter can sound lovely. The shutter of my 5D Mark II I think sounds amazing, I'm not a fan of the shutter on the 5D Mark III and the 1Ds III - they're a little sharp for my liking. Not as satisfying a sound.

But he's right, you'll have to go to a camera shop to test out your hypothesis but if it's been "dampened" I'd say it's just quieter or has been made softer. Wouldn't say there's too much of a difference.
