Memory card for nikon d5100? - 1

Hi! I'm ordering my nikon d5100 and was just wondering if this card was good enough, i'll be shooting in raw, and may occasionally do hd video, is it compatible with the camera?

Oh that will do fine, it is a 10-er, see the 10 on the card? That means it can write 10Mbyte per second. WRITE 10Mbyte per second yes…
Many cards in the past did advertise with their maximum READ speeds. But talked little about WRITE speeds.
And as photographers know about memory cards it is about write speed not read speed. So they with the advent of DSLR- Video and so on finally made cards that also promised WRITE speeds.
It is called Class, a Class 4 [noted by a 4] can write 4Mbyte per second garantueed. This is great for streams like video. The card you bought is a class 10.meaning 10Mbytes per second.yeah. That card will easily write away your video and your raws and your jpgs.
A tip, buy another one one day. It helps to have more then one memory card. You seriously do not want to have to make a choice between having to delete pictures or a video to make space for that last day of vacation.
You bought a good card.

Looks fine to me. I compared what you posted here with a company that deals in Nikon memory cards and I found the same memory card up for sale, so yes, it's compatible with your camera. Best of luck
