I want to start doing photography but I'm not sure which camera to get

Well I had a very very old LCD (i got it when I was like 10) but my dad says he thinks I should get an SLR or and LCD that's a bit more up-to-date

which cameras would you recommend?

I need a camera that is under £450
I go horse riding and i like to video me riding and stuff like that so i can post it on youtube
currently i'm using my blackberry to record my riding and the quality isn't very good

Well the disposable cameras are pretty good but if you want to know the best for the job i would ask brant

The ones you have found are good. They are not too complicated so if your just starting out they would be a good match for you. Once you've got the nack with one of those, then you can move onto the more expensive one's.

Slr's are abit bulky for holding when riding, also heavier nicons make some of the beat digital camers and there lenses are among the best, you should get a good one in your price range

LCD is liquid Crystal Display. It is not a camera, but a screen to view. Get your terms right, you come off as ignorant.

if you are going to do sports stuff, get the point and shoot camera (the fujifilm). Using a DSLR on a horse is high risk, especially for a novice.

I have a Nikon D3100 DSLR and i love it. Its an entry level DSLR camera. It records in HD (up to 1080) only draw back is that the focus isn't the fastest when taking video, but it does auto focus. It comes with a 18-55 mm lens thats pretty good to start off with. If you really get in to photography then you can upgrade and get other lenses. What's great about these cameras is that you can buy good lenses for it and once you outgrow your camera you can get a better one and still use the old lenses.
