I need to buy and LCD viewfinder?
So I have a canon camera, but I use it now to only shoot video, because I have the NIKON D70S, and that doesn't shoot video. I need what they have on camcorders- and lcd viewfinder screen thing that flips out so that if you are filming yourself, you can see youself. Right now, I just have to place a mirror behind the screen which is very annoying. Could I buy one of those to put onto my camera… Or do i have to buy a new camcorder.
I'm not sure which camera you have but this works for me:
connect the camera via its av port to the TV and switch on live view (or whatever its called) you should get a tv sized image of what's on your lcd screen. If not, well, its back to the mirror I'm afraid.
Obviously if it does that perhaps find a small screen like those used to play dvd's on the back of cars. And work out some way of mounting it on the camera tripod.
Afraid you will have to buy a new camcorder. I don't know of anyone that makes a replacement LCD that flips out. Maybe we can make our fortune by making some…
This camcorder may be a cheaper solution to the workaround you are trying to achieve.
