I have a nikond3100 how do i use the video?

I just got a Nikon D3100
and I made a video but I need to edit it.
What editing software can I use for the videos? I can't use Windows Movie Maker…
I have a Vaio not a mac…
please help! I need to edit a video for this kids program!

Why can't you use Windows Live Movie Maker?

I just edited a video shot using a Nikon dSLR for a friend and all we used was Movie Maker.

Are you saying that you own a Sony Vaio computer? The only thing that will slow down your processing of your video is the CPU speed, amount of RAM and the size of your hard drive(s)

My guess is you bought a dSLR to shoot video with NO background in shooting video or editing it.

Now that you have a fine camera that is designed for shooting still images and just happens to have a video feature, spend a lot of time reading pages 46 through 48 in your user manual. With that information and a good script, you should be able to craft a decent video.

You'd better try another professional video editing software, I suggest the AVS Video Editor
