I bought nikon d3100 when i'm capturing photos i'm getting red tint?

Even though i selected auto mode still the picture is dull and getting red tint on the faces can any one guide me. Or is it my wrong selection to buy D3100

If this is a new camera return it right away and show them what you're getting. If you can't return
call Nikon.

Set white balance to auto and try again. If it's already in auto, try shooting a non-red but brightly colored car parked under the sun. If that still turns out to be red, have your camera checked at the authorized Nikon service center.
