How to transfer pictures from camera to computer with memory card?
I have a nikon d3100, and when I put in the memory card from the camera into my computer, nothing shows up. I've had a digital camera, where I used the memory card to transfer pictures to the computer and it worked right away. But with my nikon, it doesn't seem to work? Same computer, different camera. /also different memory card obviously.
I assume you are putting the memory card into an internal card reader? If it is really broken, just buy a little card reader.
If the only problem is that won't auto-play, simply click on My Computer and manually find your way to it.
Sounds a little strange. Can you try it with a card reader? I assume you have a slot for the card on your computer. Try loading the software that came with the camera.
USB card reader is your best option if you are using a desktop. Most laptops have built-in card readers that you can use easily.
I found a described detailed article on this problem Here: http://www.thoughtandmemory.org/2012/05/transferring-pictures-from-memory-card.html
