How to set autofocus on Nikon D5000?

I want to start my own beauty vlog. But i would have to show products to the camera so that the viewers will know what products i'm using. I need my camera, Nikon D5000, to autofocus on the names of the products while i'm shooting. But i don't know how to do it, so if you do, please reply As soon as possible and please go by detail so i'll understand clearly!

The D5000 doesn't have autofocus when shooting video. The newer D5100 or the D3100 have it, but you still have to press the button to focus. They don't do it on their own.
My suggestion is to just write the names of the products somewhere in the video in post. Almost any video editing program can do that.

BTW: You should get an actual video camera (like a Camcorder) instead of the DSLR. They will do a better job.

Wuzzybrand is correct. Just have a friendly volunteer manually focus your video while you talk or whatever it is that you're doing.

Are you wanting to change autofocus, or zoom in?

If the later, in post processing, just add Ken Burns Zooming to the product names.
