How to sell my photos?

I'm 14, and I love photography. I currently have an older fujifilm Bridge camera (not point and shoot, but not DSLR either) so I'm going to buy a Nikon D3100. Anywho, I have seen art shows where people around my age are selling their photos for like 200-300 dollars! I can take much nicer pictures than most of them, and I think I could make a fair amount of money. I just don't know where to start. If anyone has any recommendations, they would be most helpful. Thank you!

P.S. Should I get the lenses with vibration reduction for an extra $100?

You can sell them on Craigslist, hallmark(if you're really good), eBay, etc.

Why not ask them how they started? You could also the art show promoter.

Put an exhibition around the world of your work n that way you can establish your name in the photography world n if people will like your work they will be giving you projects. That way you can sell your photos and also keep photos as memory as people will love to see your work first before giving you projects.

You could get one of your parents to make an account for a stock photo website, or you could try selling prints on various websites like Craigslist, Ebay, or even Etsy. You could have an exhibition but it'd cost quite a bit to get your pictures framed and printed. The extra $100 for VR probably isn't worth it.

The fact that they have put $200-300 price tags on their work doesn't mean that their work is actually selling for that much, nor does it mean that your "much nicer" pictures will command that amount of money, either. I suspect you're going to be sorely disappointed if the prospect of making money is your major motivation for upgrading to a D3100.

If you do decide to go with the D3100, keep in mind that you will have to have AF-S lenses for autofocusing to work on that camera. It does not have an autofocus motor built into the body, so AF lenses will have to be manually focused.
