How to sell a Nikon D3000?

I would like to sell my Nikon D3000 or even trade it. The problem is I don't know to go about it. I don't know how much the camera actual cost for a used camera and I also do not know where to sell it. Should I sell it on eBay, pawn shop, or go to company to trade it in? What would you do and what company is the most reliable for this?

Place an ad on eBay, Craiglsist, Etsy.
Trade it in to bhphotovideo.com or adorama.com, or a local camera shop. Not a Best Buy, but a real camera shop will often take in trade-ins.
