How much should I sell my Nikon d5000 for?

I bought my Nikon d5000 about last year, but I barely use it. I'm planning on selling it and getting a Canon Rebel t3i for my dad. I got it for about $900 and how much should I sell it for? And where should I sell it?

1) Why are you buying an $800 camera for your Dad? You should let him choose the camera. 2) You could give the D5000 to your Dad. 2) I'm going to assume that you have all of the original accesories that came with the camera. The camera, 18-55 kit lens, genuine Nikon battery & charger and software in good condition with less than 15, 000 actuations is worth about $400-550. An actual shutter count would help us give you a better estimate of value. If you really want to buy your dad a camera, consider the Rebel T3 (not T3i) or Nikon D3100 or just give him the 5000.
