I can't figure it out and I've used it before (for ppl who say I can't) but I can't figure out how I did it. It would be greatly appreciated if you could help me.

Added (1). Uhh maybe I asked the wrong question but I'm 100% positive I was capturing pictures through the LCD screen, correct me if the question is wrong I'm not a camera tech.

As your camera does not have live-view, and is not capable of having live view; I would suggest you try to find those strange looking mushrooms, or other hallucinogens you may have had access to when you believe you last used this feature.

You may have seen images that were already taken in Playback on the LCD.

First, your Nikon D60 does not have Live View.

Second, you need to read and study the Owner's Manual for your camera again. Its always a good idea to refresh your knowledge og the camera.

LiveView is the method of using the large rear LCD of the dSLR as the viewfinder instead of the traditional optical pentaprism (or pentamirror) and the reflex mirror combination to see the shot BEFORE you take it.

Are you by chance talking about Automatic Preview? That's the one that comes up the rear LCD right AFTER you take a shot. There's a setting to make that preview last longer or not come up at all.

I don't know what else to tell you other than that your camera does not have live view

edit: if you are 100% positive that you were capturing pictures while looking at the LCD screen, then you were not using the Nikon D60

The D60 doesn't have LiveView, a feature usually used by point & shoot photographers who haven't learned to use a DSLR yet. Of the thousands of photos I've taken with my Nikon D300, I've probably taken about a dozen using LiveView.

edit: Interesting how this rated a negative vote by somebody. What part wasn't true or was inappropriate?
