How to take off a 50mm Nikon lens from a Nikon D60?
I'm trying to take mine off and it won't budge.
I unlocked it, turned it clockwise, and then… Nothing.
It turns counter clock wise. How do you happen to have a 50mm on your D60? Did you put it there?
If so you should know how to get it off. If it's actually stuck perhaps the locking mechanism is broken and won't unlock. That's providing of course you didn't spill something on it or drop it.
If the locking mechanism isn't working then only a pro can help.
Hold the camera with the lens facing away from you push the unlock Button with your left hand turn the lens counter clockwise (to the left) with your right hand.
If it still does not come off try turning it slightly to the right to re seat it and reset the button. Try the button again as above.
If it still will not come off it is time for servicing. Take it to a full service camera store near you.
I have the same camera… You press and hold the largish button near the lens( underneath the silver D60 and the flash and timer button) and then you turn the lens to the right. If this doesn't work it may be jammed.
Hope this somewhat helped!
Oh, and just for future reference, if the auto-focus isn't working, check the lens switch on the side that says A-M. If you want it on auto switch it to A. I learned this the hard way…
