How to set fast shutter speed on a nikon d5100?
I just got the d5100 and needed fast shutter speed for my next shoot and it involves capturing hair in motion.
Set the mode to T. Set the shutter as fast as you want and let the camera set the aperture.
Adjust the ISO as necessary.
You're better doing that kind of thing with flash.
If you insist, however, set S or M on the mode dial and turn the little wheel until you get the speed you want.
Unless you're shooting in daylight, though, exposure will be a nightmare.
Stop using full auto. Use shutter speed priority (TV), aperture priority (AV), or full-manual (M). You'll need to adjust your ISO accordingly.
Maybe you should read the manual first and learn how to configure the settings of your camera.
If You "Just Got" the D5100 which means that you Should Have the Owners Manual Laying Around in the Pile someplace? Is That Correct? If So Than Why Haven't You Attempted To Pick Up And Started Reading The Owners Manual Because The Owners Manual Covers So Much Of The Basic Camera Operations Including On How To Adjust The Shutter Speed.
What Are The Chances That This Information Is In the Owners Manual
