How to adjust the shutter speed on my Nikon D90?

WinterNights

I'm trying to photograph my bunny rabbit and of course she won't stay still. So how do I adjust it so that it will click really fast and won't come out blurry?

Added (1). K people I didn't ask for negative comments, thanks.

Use your light meter to assure that your exposure is correct.

Look on page 83 of your user manual

What is with all the people with DSLRs asking basic stuff tonight?

Read the instructions that came with your camera!

Fail.

Read your camera's instruction manual!

( Are the cameras getting cheap or the people are starting to buy things that they don't really need? )

Well, as Elmer Fudd could have told you, wabbits won't sit still.

There's an icon of a running man on the mode dial of the camera switch it to that.

Set your mode dial to sports mode (faster shutterspeeds) or P (programmed mode). Use the rear command dial to change your shutterspeed to at least 1/125 to 1/500.
See page 6 & page 42 of the manual.

You may also change the shooting mode setting to Continuous, which lets you shoot a sequence of photos, giving you a better chance to capture that moving bunny.
See page 65 of the manual.

In case you've misplaced it, here's a link to a copy of your D90 manual below.

Hope this helps. Feel free to email if you have any other questions.

It might be easier for you to restrain the bunny instead. At least that doesn't require you to read a user's manual.
