Nikon SLR Cameras

How to get about 1, 000 dollars in a month?

Last year, (December 26th) I didn't know much about cameras and bought the one I thought was like a DSLR camera and it wasn't, it was only 200 dollars and some change. Now I want to buy a Nikon D5100 and I called my local best buy and they have it, and all together it's roughly 1, 100 dollars. My mom is willing to buy my old camera off of me for 150, and my dad's giving me 200 dollars. I was wondering if there were ways to get more money? I thought of bake sales and selling things, but I'm not sure how it would work. Are there other ways I could get 900-1000 dollars? My mom would buy it for me but I'm going to Cancun for my 16th birthday, and won't be getting a gift this year.

First be really sure that's exactly what you want and do lots of research so that you don't make a mistake again. 1000$ is a big investment especially when you don't have a job or you're still a teen/kid.

Anyways, you can:

-Sell stuff online (kijiji, craigslist, ebay)
-Do some yard work or shovel snow depending where you live
-Take care of animals for others
-Babysit
-Do chores around the house if your parents are willing to pay
-Get a part-time job

That's pretty much it. A job would be easier and you're sure to make the money.
