How to convert the following lenses to my Nikon DSLR?
I acquired the following lenses:
Kalimar 28-70mm F3.9-4.8
Minolta 50mm
I need them to fit a Nikon D3000 camera. I know you can get different mounts I just don't know what ones would work the best. I'd appreciate all the help I can get on the subject.
Hop on ebay and find an "adapter", just type in minolta to nikon. That should work
Well we don't know what camera the Kalimar was designed to fit. Was it for use with a Minolta?
Here is the adapter for the Minolta

Remember you have to tell the D3000 that you are using a non-CPU lens for it to work
The kalimar isn't worth it. For the cost of an adapter you can also get a nikon 28-80D which lets your meter work and is optically better.
The minolta may be worth it but, like any lens wiht an adapter on a D3000, you are totally on your own, manual focus and only shooting in M mount
Its simple, by hand

I would suggest that you go with Sarah C's answer. I've just gotten a second-hand Canon D30 and a second-hand Minolta lens… The adapters are very easy to find on ebay just be weary of false advertisers!
Be aware that even with the right fitting adaptors those lenses will only be able to be used in a Manual mode as the electronics will not talk to each other. BUY NIKON LENSES.
