Good but not to expensive professional camera?

So i'm fifteen years old and i've been wanting a good professional camera for a long time and i had my mind on the nikon d3100.
i love the way it takes pictures and the price is very good but my cousin went and bought it so i don't want to "copy" her.
what are other similar cameras to that one.doesn't need to be nikon. But around the same price and maybe a little better than that one?

The D3100 is an excellent dSLR for anyone learning how to use a fully adjustable camera
Were you seem to be confused is that just because an excellent dSLR like the under $700 is a dSLR, it does in NO way mean it is a "professional" camera.
The least expensive APS-C sensord Nikon costs just under $1, 700 without a lens. The full frame professional Nikon costs right about $5, 300, again with no
Buying an excellent camera like the Nikon D3100 is NOT copying one person, but tens of thousands of them. Why is this a problem?
If you want a unique Nikon, Look at the $8, 000 Nikon D3X. There are much fewer of them sold than D3100's

Any 1080p HD camera from Canon is good. I recommend the Canon Powershot SX230HS. It has amazing zoom. And beautiful 1080p HD photo, and movie! It is on sale right now at Best Buy.com
